We love the game of golf and enjoy teaching others how to get better at the game.  Whether you are a beginner of an accomplished player we can help you improve your game.

  • All instructors will give you drills to work on in-between lessons.

  • Depending on lesson type video may be taken and given to you for home study.

Premier Program

Golf Clinics

Weekly series of Clinics for Adults and Juniors.
All Clinics include a glass of wine, beer or other beverage of choice.
Stay after for additional beverages with happy hour pricing!

Each week will focus on a different aspect of the game. The clinics will be on the basics and are centered around new and or newer golfers. Even a seasoned golfer can pick up new practice techniques.

Meet our Instructors

Nate Verwoert

Head Golf Professional

Nate VerWoert is a multi-talented individual. He has played golf for 30 years and
worked in the golf industry for over 15 years.

During his high school and collegiate years, he received instruction from Bryan
Herring, the golf coach and caddie for PGA Tour Professional Chez Reavie.

In 2006, Nate worked with the Arizona State Men’s and Women’s Golf Team as a
golf professional at ASU’s Karsten Golf Course. Nate was groomed as a
professional golf instructor under Jeff Ritter PGA, Joey Jones PGA, and Debbie
Cruz PHD Sports and Exercise Psychology.

When ASU’s Karsten Golf Course closed, Nate created and successfully ran “Nate
V Golf Academy” teaching all ages and levels of golfers.

Fun Fact: Nate is an accomplished musician - writing and recording many songs,
playing guitar, and touring the nation.

Zach Stodola

Golf Instructor

Zach Stodola has been playing golf since he could walk. Growing up Zach played a lot of junior golf as part of the Junior Golf Association of Arizona and the PING Interclub where he met and took lessons from Buddy Cochrane. Being the golfer that was very consistent under any conditions brought a lot of opportunity and got him a full Scholarship and Captain of the team as an incoming Freshman at Scottsdale Community College. His love of the game from such a young age is what brought him to start teaching young players. His upbringing and coaching experiences are what makes Zach the perfect teacher for your children.

More info: Zach’s golf philosophy: Develop Consistency. No crazy swing changes or the latest and greatest equipment. Zach believes that with the right help and some minor changes that most people can become better golfers.

Robert Sloan

Golf Instructor

Robert started his career as a PGA Professional at the Makena Resort in Maui, Hawaii in 1999. Robert came to Greenfield Lakes in 2018 as the Director of Instruction at Greenfield Lakes. Robert is also a Master club fitter/builder and performs club repairs. Robert is passionate about the game of golf both as a teacher and a player, and believes that anyone can learn the game, no matter the skill level, there’s always room for improvement. After all his years of teaching, Robert is still excited about helping students take their game to a new personal level!”

We take pride in developing junior golfers. teaching them the life long essential basics of golf and working with their individual techniques! We believe that the future of golf is in good hands.

Kids 30 Min Lesson: $45.00 (based on age and attention span many kids can handle the 1 hour regular lesson.

Group Lessons at Greenfield Lakes

Learning in a group environment is fun and takes some of the pressure off. Get a group together and start golf now!

Prices vary based on clinic type and length. No more than 6 participants to 1 instructor. Generally they will range from $20 to $30.

Club Fitting at Greenfield Lakes

Greenfield Lakes Golf Course can fit you for Clubs.  Club Fitting can be as useful as any lesson that you will ever take.  This is not just based on height and finger to floor measurements but based on your swing.

Fittings can help to cure slices and hooks, fades and draws and can even add significant distance to all of your clubs.  This can be scheduled through the pro shop phone: 480-503-0500 or in person.
